0/10 Found the bitter white guy
0/10 I am not white
When did Danny Mercado get hot? Hair cut looks good on him.
Anyone notice the subtle shot at Jenkins, too? He kept going in and on about feeling bad for Ben True. Then somebody mentioned Eric Jenkins (who was 4th, ahead of True in 5th) and Torrence says, "I'm not gonna say anything about Jenkins". Torrence clearly believes the whole NOPer doper thing.
he goes on about it again around the 54 minute mark

Neither did Lagat. A positive requires positive A plus positive B.

I think Torrence spends too much time on letsrun and not enough time training, otherwise he would've had the balls to compete at trials.
Wasn't Torrence the one who basically said don't just talk, do something about it when it comes to dopers?

Seeing that he is now a known rat b/c he helped with the Aden investigation, he will likely never be in a position where he knows something again.
Torrence is "just saying it" because he didn't have the chops to actually make the US team hence why he's going to Peru

How come every is accusatory to Lagat but the our Olympic marathon team has another 40-YO who set a PR in his late, late 30s and everyone worships Meb.
I'm not sure about others' posts, but all of my posts on Meb get deleted.
Lagat sued the IAAF for the positive A sample. To me, I don't think a coverup was going on if he sued them immediately after the B sample came back negative.
Honestly, I don't know if he doped, but Torrence likely doesn't know any better than the rest of us. All he did was talk about rumors he's heard...rumors that are not insider since it's commonly talked about on Letsrun. With that said, I have a hard time believing Lagat is doping now, whether he did or didn't in the past, given what he could lose if he tested positive. And remember, he ran 3:27 like 11 or 12 years ago. He likely could have run 12:45 at some point. It's not like he hasn't slowed down, given that he could probably only run 13:10-13:20 right now. This race was basically set up for him to win. He can kick like a mad man off a mild pace. In an all out race, he would have finished like 5th or lower today. If the Olympics play out this way, he will contend for a medal because he has a lethal kick when the pace is mid to high 13 pace.
It is funny how Torrence was thought to be a hero for ratting out Aden and a man of principle for speaking his mind about Salazar but now he is a loon for calling out dirty Lagat.
The most ridiculous performance of the trials has been Lagat. Even more than the 200 results. Just because Lagat smiles and is a good guy to everyone does not mean he is clean.
All that he would lose? I hate hearing that argument. It is complete conjecture. Lance Armstrong said he would never dope because of his kids, everyone said he had so much to loose with regards to Livestrong, yada, yada.
Because people don't take risks for achieving their goals... right?
What has Gatlin lost? What has Gay lost? What has Merrit lost? These guys risked, got found out, and are still heroes.
They all gained soo much. So much to out do whatever loses could come.
The B sample did not come back negative.
It was ruled that the B sample was mishandled and unable to be tested.
He got off on a technicality.
Lagat sued then for release of the A sample results which is not allowed until the B sample corroborates the A results. The suit was dropped because the USADA claimed it had nothing to do with the inappropriately released results--they had no clue how that happened--, and they never banned Lagat, so no harm, no foul, no monetary loss forced on Lagat.
Does the broadcast have subtitles or is it in Quechua?
It was the A sample that was found to be mishandled with Lagat, not the B sample. The B sample was properly stored and found no traces of anything.

Not true at all. If you were right, and you are not, there should be hundreds of more positive samples with Lagat's name on them. He keeps running, and providing more samples to test now, and again in the future. So, where are all these positive tests? Better equipment and more banned stuff since the bogus sample and still nothing.
