LOL
so two kenyans on the team...
Eric Jenkins was the 1st American born runner, in the entire f**king usa, with a population of ~375 million, he may be devastated, but he's a f__king boss
Jenkins destroyed Hill and True...for that alone I love him.
The pale faced runners let everyone else dictate the pace and race. They got what they deserved. Run harder. Run to win, not to follow. Stop listening to LRC posters who think that "saving it" and sit and kick wins championships. Yeah didn't work so well for the white guys today did it??!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to spend a weekend at Bernie's!
And a Somoli
was running the 10k the wrong decision.
answer: YES!!
Oh well - our Men's distance crew (1500m and up) have no chance at Rio anyway. Nothing I have seen outside of Jager gives me confidence they'll even make it to the finals @ Rio.

Hope Jager comes prepared to sprint the last lap this time!

True story. All this hand wringing is pointless in the bigger picture. Our best chances are probably Jager and maybe Rupp in the marathon. That's literally it.

Which LRC posters advocate sit and kick races? After every single championship all I read on here are posts complaining about "jogfests." One of the site's insane owners has even posted about wanting to give a substantial amount of money to the Kenyans in the WC 10k last year in order to ensure a fast pace for crying out loud.
I was practically screaming at him to kick harder, but yeah it was a great finish but weird race overall
So true. Salazar surprised me by putting Jenkins in the 10. He would have made the 5 Olympic team and may never get a second chance. In 4 yrs he'll have to run against 10 Kenyans.
I like Galen but I'm a bigger fan of Eric Jenkins. I've been a big fan since his winter 3k.
my friend sent me a snapchat of the 5k race (he was sitting right behind Salazar). Salazar was up by the fence flailing his arms and screaming for Rupp but as soon as Rupp was out of earshot he just turned and walked away. Salazar didnt even look to see where Jenkins was. (this was 2-3 before the finish).
something tells me Alberto cares very little for Eric Jenkins which is sad since hes the future of distance running and has so much promise.
