Little came in as the world lead but was only 5th in her heat. My buddy noticed she wasn't wearing her trademark glasses today due to the rain/fog. After she ran poorly, I thought to myself, "I wonder if maybe she doesn't have contacts."
Does anyone know if she has contacts?
I'm pretty sure she wore glasses, but since NBC locks up the videos, we can't verify.
I read that on the NBCOympics.com site. Our buddies at NBC didn't show the race, very poor judgement. But we got to see some good disc throws.
Her left hamstring was heavily taped in the first round and lightly taped in the semis. Injured?
Maybe Adidas can get a refund from her...probably not what they thought they were signing up for!

With the zika virus and other concerns, what is the possibility of an athlete purposely "baggng it" a bit in their event to avoid not making the team, rather than having to announce they are just not going? Not saying that is what Little did, just asking in general.

How dumb would someone who does that feel when they get Zika from a mosquito while on vacation on Cape Cod in a couple years?

Easier to slather on repellent and make the trip.

Her post race reaction was unexpected. She was on her back and Screaming while stomping the ground with her feet. And the camera man was recording all of it. It felt like she was having a tantrum on the track.
I'm only a spectator, and don't know the full story. But i thought it was an odd childlike display of emotion.
Shamier Little probably feels a little shamier today after that race yesterday. Her big sister Shamiest and her little sister Shame are pretty disappointed, too.
Bunch of haters here. It is a long college track season. I imagine she is feeling tired. Her form looked way off. She can shows whatever emotions she wants after a disappointing race, we all have done it.
She is not a choker, chokers don't get medals at world championships, like she did last year. Junior World Champs and Pan Am Games GOLD medalist. She has never lost a final at Hayward Field, until now.

NBC did show the race, watched it live while at work yesterday. You can see the race on their site btw. Learn to read schedules and understand what's being streamed, what's being broadcast and you'll be able to see the remaining events.
Little was wearing her glasses. She ran like s*it. Everyone makes excuses for certain types of runners like Montano or Little while attacking others like Rupp. Little looked awful from start to finish. Either nerves, sick, or something's up in the doping dept.
So you're glad that an American with the #1 time in the world won't be representing the US in the Olympics ? You must be happy that Keni Harrison is out to. Way to support your country.
I don't wear glasses, but it seems like if it is raining it could affect judging the hurdles. Any glass-wearers have experience with this?
Little ran two races about 2s slower than her season best.
Either she is nursing an injury or perhaps there was too much thought put into going through rounds and she held back early and couldn't hit it at the end.
The 400 hurdles aren't really that tactical. Even a lot of the pros don't have incredible form going over these things. It is a way different event than the 100 or 110s in terms of technical demands.
