Hearing here in Eugene that all the body comments have gotten to Emma. She was totally stressed out yesterday, you could see it in her face. She wasn't able to enjoy her victory, she kept replaying comments she'd read about her body issue pictures.
Hope she can move on and let it pass and focus on racing again. Will need 100% focus before Rio. I am sure, in hindsight, she regrets doing the shoot in an Olympic year. Too much attention.

You really thought she'd look curvy and feminine or something? Professional athletes are muscled and lean, and distance runners are on the extreme end of the lean scale. They don't look like your porn star fantasy girls.
LoloJones did the body shoot years back. Her photos looked similar to Emma's actually. And this board can be poisonous if people uncontrollably take the negative attention to heart. Reality is, the people making rude and vulgar comments probably are merely projecting their own issues/insecurities in life while hiding behind a screen. Even if your name is posted, you're still ultimately hiding behind a screen. Social media and message boards can be poisonous. I can say with 100% certainty that Emma is a beautiful woman who is very successful.

Every pro athlete worth their salt will tell you ONE very key thing they NEVER do: They DON'T READ THE MEDIA reports about themselves. It's like being a pro athlete 101. Tough lesson learned for young, naive Emma. Also, if you don't want people making comments on your ugly a$$ stick figure, maybe don't pose in the first place?!!!!

Again 100% agreed. Doing that type of photo shoot is going to open you to all kinds of critical comments about your body. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Public opinion is part of the game that every professional athlete faces. Simple as that.
