Who cares about their sponsored athletes? They are my favorite running shoes hands down. Nike is terrible and their quality is terrible. I've been running with Brooks for 10 years now. Really don't care if "their" athletes don't make it into the Olympics.

Name a better shoe from Brooks for neutral runners than the Pegasus or Elite.

Name a better flat from Brooks than the Streak LT or Lunarspiders.

Name a better spike from Brooks than the Nike equivalent for ANY event.

Brooks makes cushy stability shoes for hobby joggers very well. That's about it.

This I find humorous: Nike loves to keep track of and brag about how many of their athletes qualify for the OGs and WCs, even while said athletes probably don't even recover for Nike their endorsement costs via incremental shoe sales. Outside of a bunch of employees carefully keeping count of numbers of athletes and minutes of television airtime, nobody even cares and it is meaningless.

Okay. I agree with that. Are Hansons and the Beasts funded in a similar fashion? It seems like Brooks is getting a lot more bang for their buck from Hansons.

Brooks doesn't give a crap about real runners. I tried their shoes and got injured right away. their Run Happy campaign is for the overweight walk/jogger.

Taiwo only wears the whole Brooks Kit. It would be hard not to notice that he was on the Brooks team just because of a pair of shoes.

The T7 is a great flat.

It is. I would argue the Elite is better, and the Pegasus is in that family as well (older Pegasus was clunky, last few years have a nice snap and the 33 has a forefoot air unit that gives it great response. Draw at the least.

The T7 is a great flat.

That shoe hasn't been good in several models, not since they mucked up the outsole with that soft foam crap. Anything shy of bone dry conditions for racing is a game of slip n slide, and even in nice dry conditions the Streak LT and Lunarspider have objectively better grip on the ground, as well as firmer more responsive midsoles.

Don't have experience with Brooks spikes.

Do yourself a favor and keep it that way.

Brooks is 100% hobby jogger status these days. I bet they'd rather sponsor an "inspiring" 6 hour marathoner that makes the cover of Shape magazine rather than have Olympians.
