After watching the 800 and the antics that ensued, it got thinking. Do pro women fall more than pro men? Who was the Mammoth Track club girl who fell twice in HUGE meets?

Yes.
Morgan Uceny fell at least 3-4 times.
I want statistical evidence
One outlier. If Morgan were a man you'd be asking why men fall more than women.
How many of them are really pros?

Fixed.

The exact same reason why they can't drive. I read an article on marks daily Apple a few years back and it explained why. I'll try and find it. Women are better at identifying objects in the forest (gatherers) and men are better at predicting moving objects (hunters)
Solinsky ruined his career by tripping over a dog. What about the time when he fell over during a 5k? Seem to remember rupp having some tripping problems also. And of course Joe Falcon fell over left and right. Heck the great El G, fell when he realized Moreceli was about to crush him. Heck Viren tripped during a 10k when they were just jogging along.
Runners clip each other all the time. I have no clue what happens more often
I have never once fell over while running, in a race or otherwise. I did drop a baton once but I picked it up and finished my leg anyway.

seeking sympathy, need for attention, insecurities...etc.
Yeah and that guy from Brazil, I think, fell over while leading the Olympic marathon. 2004 in Athens, only a few miles to go but down he went and ended up third. Klutz!

0/10. Not even funny to make fun of that. The guy (vanderlai cordeiro de lima) was leading by 25 seconds with 3 or 4 miles to go and was attacked by a spectator- he lost a bunch of time and slowed down as a result. Still held it together for third though- a truly inspiring show of perseverance.
I thought it was hilarious!
Paula Radcliffe would have kicked the dude's butt.
I don't know if this is true but Kellyn Taylor said after the 10,000 that in her experience women don't stream out nicely like in most men's races. They're all over the place, so it's more conducive to clips and chaos.
Ever watch Joe a Falcon run?
