That's all that needs to be said
No, one more said thing should be said:
Berian > Murphy > Brazier
When Murphy runs faster than 1:43.5 then we can start talking. Murphy beat him in a prelim and Brazier was missing his shoe for the final sprint. GTFO
thats not gonna happen
Harris is better than both.

When Brazier makes the World Champs semi final then we can start talking. Stop making excuses for him. GTFO
Wouldn't that be something if the Nike shoe malfunctioned (instead of getting stepped on) and that is why it came off! I would like to hear what he has to say.

22 year old Murphy is better than 18 year old Brazier?! What an accomplishment (if it's true)!
Murphy was a true Junior, so 21? And Brazier is 19.
Brazier is not 18. And quit the bit about his shoe coming off. Total BS! He had no shoe problems whatsoever! LOLOLOL dumb trollsRead more: http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=7438632&page=2#ixzz4DCzp5KQA

LOL. The Brazier apologists are out in force. Adding age to Murphy, subtracting age for Brazier, claiming Brazier lost a shoe, got dust in the eyes, too tired from NCAAs, was abducted by UFOs, etc.etc. Booohooohoo
They can't complain about him being tired. Murphy ran a number of 1500s prior to this.
Brazier is a 19 year old freshman that broke Jim Ryun's record and has an NCAA title. No one has done that. He has nothing to be ashamed. Murphy is a 21 year old junior of course he has more race experience and more endurance for rounds right now. As whether he is better than Brazier, its not really a fair assessment right now. Still, 1:43.55 is still 1:43.55. Clayton Murphy has yet to anything that impressive, yet. Give Donovan another year or two and he will be consistently amazing once he matures a little more physically and adjusts his peaks to a pro season. That is all.

Then give it another year or two before posting him as consistently amazing.
Both are great for the sport. As is Berian. The U.S. is staying healthy in the middle distances.
Well, by the same token, I think we should give it another year or two before saying Murphy is better than Brazier.

Right now, Murphy is. The OT's are the best barometer to date. Things could change- & when they do, we'll acknowledge. Until then, no crystal balls.
Murphy has done some impressive things, I am not discounting that. I don't understand the need of some in the Letsrun crowd to make a point that Murphy is so much better than Brazier. Donovan is 19 and has already done what most collegiate runners could only dream of. He broke Ryun's 50 year old record. If Brazier was white, the response to him on here would be like the second coming of Jesus. While its not same sport, the initial reaction on here reminds me of when Tiger Woods first won the Masters and some thought it was just a fluke or hype until he started racking up majors. Give the kid a little time. What is obvious is that he's the most talented 800 runner the US has had at 19 years old in a very long time. I think we all should just appreciate how special that is instead of talking about who is better than him.

Brazier did have his shoe come off.
That's the reason for his subpar performance.
Why can't you accept that?
What I don't get is why he was not advanced via protest like the Nike athletes who false started in the 100m and 400m and Engels in the 800m.
Why sign with Nike if you are not going to get preferential treatment?
