the American Sani Brown?
Yes, Mother is asian
On his wiki page it says
"He is only the 28th non-senior to win the Gatorade Player of the Year award in the 30-year history of the program"
28 seems like a lot in 30 years, why the word "only"?

His mother is Japanese. Father is African-American. Mom was the runner in the family.
"Norman may have inherited his running ability from his mother, Nobue, who ran track in Japan. He started running when he was in sixth grade, accompanying his older sister, Michelle, who went on to become a Southern Section champion in the long jump for Vista Murrieta in 2014 and competes for UC Irvine."

Pretty cool stuff. It seems like Japanese high school sprinters are very good and can hold their own, perhaps even best the fastest high school kids in America from Cali, Florida, and Texas. Although after the prep level they don't improve as much as professionals, makes me wonder what are they doing wrong, or what are they not doing? Is it training, coaching, genetics, or the drugs/lack there of? And none of them have yet to break 10 seconds although Kiryu and Yamagata seem to be close. But those two haven't produced near sub 10 times in international meets like the diamond league etc.
How did his mother and father meet?

What? By daring to leave his mom's basement. There is a big, scary world out there.

Blackanese can result in strong athletes. Case in point, bryan clay. While I can't find evidence of direct east asiatic heritage in Ashton eaton, I've long suspected he has some asiatic blood (in addition to Caucasian and African American). He certainly resembles west coasters who have similar mixes that I'm proposing.
His father also was a very good 400 meter runner. He ran in the range of
47 seconds , which is not shabby. Mother ran around 11.7 according to
her son. He stated this in an interview which can be seen on youtube.
African American is a misnomer if you are trying to say that it indicates
100% african blood lines ... I would venture to say that most people who
are referred to as African American have other blood lines as well, even
those who have very dark skin tones, of which my great grandfather was
one who exhibited this feature. But he was in fact Asian and Black.
Just go on youtube and search genetic testing for celebrity African Americans, and see how they discovered that they had blood lines from
Europe as well as Africa and Asia.
Yes, black golfer Tiger Woods is more asian than black.

Kiryu has a pb of 9.98, but he underperforms all the time in big international meets.
