No one can take him down at the Trials.
He could only lose if he has a bad day or is sick or gets injured.

No. Pretty sure Chelanga is the only one in the field who has ever beaten him in the 10000m, and Sammy doesn't seem to be at his best.

Agreed. Mead is having a solid year. I think many people are underestimating him. Not saying he WILL beat Rupp, but if anyone has a good shot, I'll pick him.

From the USATF site (Because the flotrack site is a flaming POS) - True, Jenkins, Lagat, and Chelanga are all "qualified" entries for both the 5 & 10k events at the trials. I wonder who will actually double and/or skip one of the events.
Chelanga beat Rupp in the PJ 10k when Sol set the AR, but sufficed to say Galen has looked much better in recent history. He should win with ease, as he typically does. I guess I wouldn't completely count out Lagat because he is such a freak of nature and has beaten Galen like 23 times to 3 or something, but you have to bet on Golden Boy to win with ease.

I see it taking a few more years but Diego Estrada will challenge him in the 10k eventually. Hassan mead also is in that class with Estrada as far as age goes so we'll see in the coming years how it pans out. Also if Ryan hill moves up to 10k but I don't see him doing that for a while

Many people are critical of Rupp, but he is very good. Nobody will be close.
I think the only one with a decent chance is Craig Lutz. If he is on that day I don't think anyone - ANYONE - can beat him.
