NO RIO FOR CENTRO.
Watched it. Did he use the meet as a workout?
Yes. He is fine. He ran 3:30 11 months ago and was out for a couple weeks. How much fitness do you really think he could lose from that? He will win the trials but will not me a medal contender, which was expected.
Yeah, he liked REALLY bad. Wow, I'm shocked. To go with their pitiful 8 performance, the OTC: mead sucks it up, o'lionaird dnf, McNamara with late kick for his usual 3:38- only he didn't have anyone to stare down this time- Murphy was too far ahead.

yes.
Not his best day for sure, but I think it's a little early to be writing him off from that top three for sure. A bunch of pros who were calling this an A-standard chase came up short too. If Murphy runs the trials at 1500m you have to think this performance makes him even more of a favorite for a spot on the team, assuming he does in fact manage to hit the standard.
What was his time?? A blank next to his name for a time. DNF?? If so, when & details??
Charles Jock is another one that may be done. Was he a DNS or a DNF?
If he doubled back from the 800, not surprised he couldn't do his best in the 1500.
Only a fool would think that Centro is done.
Centro is THE MAN. Look for GOLD in Rio.
Centro won 9th place in, gag, 3:41+
Done? OP is an idiot.

Threads like this one are the reason many serious elite athletes have a bad view of LR. Banal stupidity.
Oh boy. It looks like some other posters were not aware of that 1:47.69 800m race before the 1500m race.
That extra 800m race in 1:47.69 might of made his legs feel a little more tired for the 1500m race in 3:41.39.
Actually, it looks like Centro might not be done...since this was a good workout.
I give the guy credit. He's not afraid of what the judgmental losers who say he's done will think of him finishing mid-pack in two races. A lot of pros wouldn't have the guts to do that. Says a lot about him. This was a solid workout. I have faith he'll be a contender in Rio!!
So we have a 1:47/3:41 double as his first bit of racing for the year.
There are three weeks until the trials to sharpen up and the trials has three rounds of races to sharpen more and get his racing rhythm going.
He was fit enough to be indoor world champion three months ago.
I'm not betting against him to make the team.
Guys he is a 1500m runner not 800. Clearly did this as a workout. You Americans do overreact!
He suffered a significant injury. There's no embarrassment in trying to come back, but it will be hard.
Clearly the OP was just trying to ruffle feathers. After all, someone has to say someone's "DONE" every time they don't set a PR. The OP succeeded, it appears.
