Does wearing running shoes for everyday activities wear them out faster?

Yes.

If you are wearing them regularly, yes.

Lunartempos wear out faster than other shoes. Mine LT2s are at 200 and I will be lucky to make it to 300.

Luckily Nike sells more durable trainers like Zoom Elites, Zoom Vomero, and Zoom Pegasus. I'm a Pegasus guy and they last forever, 400-500 miles before a noticeable change in ride

Is this a joke thread? What do you think running does to a show that's different than walking in them?? I had three pairs of LunarTempos and they lasted about 350 miles each, and then I only retired them cause I didn't trust that I hadn't compressed the lunarlon too much.

Dude seriously, stay away from Nikes. They are pure garbage. I haven't used a pair of Nikes for running since the early 2000s and haven't looked back. They are cheaply made and overpriced. (OK, almost all sneakers are overpriced but you know what I'm saying).

That said, get yourself some nice Brooks. They hold up much better and usually you can find good deals online. I never pay full price. I find they are much more comfortable than Nikes as well. Nike's toe box always seemed narrow to me. Gave me blisters and shit.

Couldn't disagree more. I run almost exclusively in Nikes and have never had any issues with durability OR pricing. The beauty of Nikes is that 6 weeks after the launch of a shoe, they're discounted because Nike releases new colorways. I've never had to pay full price for a brand new (minus 6 weeks) pair of Nikes. Lunartempos: 300-400 miles. Lunaracers: 300-400 miles. Pegs: 400 miles. Flyknit Lunars: 300 miles.
