Ed ran 7:18.55 for the mile in Cambridge Ontario yesterday. The track is "old school", a combination of red brick and clay.

Also the evergreen Ed ran in racing flats... #GOAT!

Yes, Ed is looking good, and he is the GOAT. Congrats, Ed.

Dude *is* weirdly handsome (and I mean that in an uncreepy, bro-to-bro way); could use a littler Famous Dave's (tanning cream), but udder'n *that* I can only HOPE to look so good at that age (assuming I reach it). And, frankly, 7:18 beats most fat Americans of *any* age.
-
Also, looks sharp in a suit: http://runningmagazine.ca/ed-whitlock-85-breaks-world-record-by-nine-minutes-at-waterloo-half-marathon/
Esp. given he is, after all, a *runner*. -

I can also run a 7:18.55 mile and I didn't need 60+ years of training in order to accomplish it.

I did too. -
Ed crushed it. I hope the story gets some wider attention. He deserves it.
-
He had that light, smooth stride back then too. I'm convinced that is a huge part of his longevity, much like Lagat.

9/10 from me (and I'm a hard marker), Ed's got a good sense of humor and will mark it high too. -

It must be fun to crush a world record any time he feels like running a race on the weekend.
How many world records has Ed set so far this year?
I believe it is less than 20 world records so far this year.
Of course it is only June. -
