How about those steeple prelims!? So fast! Has there ever been a year where the slowest time to make the final was 8:36 before?
Also, I saw that Blankenbaker from Oklahoma was added to the final even though he ran 8:58. Anyone know what happened to cause that? Its lucky for him because he is likely alot fresher than the rest of the finalists.
I saw that too and was curious.... why is he in the final?
Was he impeded/tripped? Didn't watch the prelims.
Quick google search did the trick..

With the NCAA steeplechase going so slow lately and the fact that many PRs were set in those prelims, it pretty much guarantees that the final, except for Mason Felic, will be slow.
Looks like it will now also take sub-8:38 to make the Trials.
