Very embarrassing uniform rule question!

Wow! I have worried about this happening to me before especially with the short shorts. That's why always wear a pair of tight briefs. In triathlon nudity is a DQ.... I am guessing same applies to Track and Field

They were named state champs, the "situation" was fixed by the time they took the medal stand. There was no DQ. Just wondering what the rule / precedent was.

This. There has to be photographic proof given the number of people at the meet.

I'm sure someone has a picture of it, but to post the pic or a link here, using my work computer, would be a violation of some law against kids I'm sure. So you'll just have to believe me, and the other folks talking about it on the Michigan forums.

Nope - just another coach, I didn't have a 4x800 running.

As a longtime coach, I was just wondering if there was ANYTHING in the rule book about it. Or if anyone has ever heard of this happening. I guess I'm asking on the wrong site.

Interesting I think it is one of those things that the refs may just look the other way. I swam for years and always worried that my speedo would fly off after diving. Always wore 2 just in case :).

Probably as long as he started the race with it tucked in (like some shirt rules) he was good. Coming out during the natural course of the event shouldn't call for a DQ.

Thanks for some intelligent responses. I don't know if the officials saw or not, but it was pretty obvious to me, watching from the stands.

For the pervs out there who want visible proof, the video of the race is now online if you're desperate to see it, do your own searching to find it. The photography company that records photos of the state finals did NOT post pics of that race, though they did of almost all of the other events. So I'm guessing it was noticed.

The answer is in the first sentence when he said it was in Michigan not Alaska.
