Benicio del Toro- at a bar in San Juan, PR. He is much taller in person than on screen.
Artie Lange- comedian, formerly on the Howard Stern radio show. During Super Bowl weekend in Vegas. He was bitching to me because the doormen were giving him a hard time about entering a club wearing sneakers. He was hilarious.
Hey I met Benny Del Toro too coming out of a bar in Hoboken, NJ. Very tall dude with a very distinctive voice. He made a joke as I was in a very bad mood coming out of a painful physical therapy session. He got a smile out of me and we shook hands. He then headed for the McDonald's across the street. Only later did I realize who he was as it was dark and I only heard his voice. Thanks, Benny you saved my day.
I'm going with the Mr. Staypuff Marshmellow Man and Morris the Cat. Absolute legends and stand-up individuals. I knew Morris from way back before he made it on the big-screen and good 'ol Mr. Staypuff used to join us on camping trips at Camp Winitbiggie in the summertime. They even had the same agent and sometimes Captain Crunch and Mr. Greenjeans would join us for a game of Go Fish when they had time. Grand times.
Eddie Murphy
Dan Akroyd
Chevy Chase
Some of the other SNL goofballs.
Bernie Madoff and wife
I once drove a cab for Raymond Reddington and Dembe. We were being chased and shot at. Lovely experience.
Met Laird too ; great guy !
One America's best All time race walkers !
1. Sidd Finch
2. Lennay Kekua
Decades ago when I was just out of high school, Kirk Douglas came out of an airport and just about got in my cab, but then spotted a limo and took that.
Previous to this I was in Arkansas one summer and a girl wanted me to double date with her friend and another guy, but my mom was pressuring me to stay home for some get together she was having. The girl with my permission had the other guy call me to try and convince me to go. The guy was Bill Clinton, who's about my same age. Unfortunately I didn't go on the date and wish that I had, as that girl was really hot for me. For that same reason it's probably really good that I didn't.
Wilt Chamberlain sat on a blanket next to spouse and me at a track meet.
We sat on a blanket next to Mary Decker and Dick Quax after one of the Eugene Marathons.

No I noticed she was older than I thought but still smoking hot. She was polite friendly and down to earth. Her husband came in later to sit with her, some kind if disability or something I can't remember. Very classy lady.
You and the guy who met Ali have best celebrity stories, thus far.
I fear the only I have met in person have been of a nefarious type. I've met both Menendez Brothers, both Lyle and Erik, and their temporary house-mate, Richard "The Night Stalker" Ramirez.
I've seen several others, but I have only actually spoken to those three.
Wineturtle's story is also one of the top ones. The best one could be the waiter, who's friend banged all those actresses.
Name those actresses, little guy, and you win this thread hands down. This brings me to another topic. How many of you guys had sex with a chick who had sex with a celebrity? That could be a good topic.
Bono and Pre
Just remembered these. I guess I have met alot of celebs in my life.....
Alice Cooper at Phoenix airport with his wife. He could not be nicer and he signed autographs on the spot. Flew on the same plane too. He is an avid golfer.
LAX- while waiting to board my plane, Gloria Estefan and Kathy Griffin walk out of the jetway and right past me. They are both very short.
Pat Riley- This was back in 1995. He had just been hired as head coach of the Miami Heat. It was at some outdoor event and the girl I was with had no idea who he was. I ended up having a good conversation with him. What I learned about Pat that night was that even when he coached the Lakers and the Knicks, he always wanted to live in Miami all along.
Great thread. The Ali story was beautiful.
My two are Gary Kasparov (very energetic) and Rolf Harris (seemed very nice but I guess a lot of twisted people can come across that way).
