He will take the 5k no problem. If guys like Kejelcha and Ndiku could remain consistent then he would atleast be challenged. However he won't... unless Edris is having a breakout year. He's been looking damn good his last 2 wins.
10k is a whole other matter. When everything is said and done Kam will be the GOAT. You heard it here first. He will have world records in the 10k, half, and marathon. However in Rio, it's up in the air. He is still very young, wereas Mo in my opinion is slightly past his peak, but still riding it. If Kam makes it fast and gets Karoki and Tanui (that will obviously be the Kenyan team) to help him out a bit and make it a fast race (I'm talking at minimum sub 26:45, which is well within Tanui and Karoki to atleast help him up to 8k) then Farah can be beat. And it wouldn't necessarily be that Kam beat him alone, but for once he gets outsmarted by the Kenyan tactics. However if it is another jog fest for 9600 meters, Mo will win another "glorious" (not really) gold medal like it was a cake walk.
Yup
Your frosted flakes suck.
You are rite, Edris mite be the black horse in the 5k . Kejelcha and Ndiku are none factors and will not be a threat to Mo at all ..
The 10k = war ..no holds barred so to speak
but at the end Mo Farah will retain his gold , he is faster stronger and smarter
He is in the shape of his life and i don't see him beaten on the track rite now Kam or no Kam with all due respect.
It will need to be faster than 26:45 for Kam to win.
He is NOT in the shape of his life. I know for a fact that he is nowhere near his training times from 2012 and 2013.

I heard Mobot's hearing is not so good either when the doping tester man comes ringing.
Isn't that rite tony?
More soggy cereal for tony tigger.
Oh well.
Right now, I give Farah a 50 percent chance in the 10000 and a 40 percent chance in the 5000. That is higher than I would give anyone else.
Kamworor and Karoki have worked well together before but couldn't get it done last year. I am not sure Karoki or Tanui can push much harder than they have before. Plus they may not want to sacrifice their chances to medal just to help Kamworor win. Still Kamworor is better than anyone who was in London. If it is a kicker's race then Jeilan has a chance.
I could see Edris, Gebremeskel and Kejelcha giving Mo a tough time. Mo is getting older and they may use better tactics. I am not sure which Kenyan will contend. Ndiku did not have a good race at Pre.
Gone are the days when Kenyans could work together. These corrupt doped up cheaters would never do anything for anyone else than themselves.
No way does Kamoworor end up the GOAT. He doesn't flow over the track like Bekele did, he runs like a cross country runner. No way does he ever run 26:17.
HM world record maybe but no where near the 10k WR.
I don't disagree! Other athletes might run faster than Farah this year but nobody will beat him when medals are at stake!
The big advantage he has is that he knows now that he will be in Rio. How many Kenyan or Ethiopian runners can say for certain that they will be there? No trials to run, no targets to hit before the Games, everything is pointed towards Rio and nothing else. This is worth, maybe, a second or two over 10K- which is all the difference Farah needs.

Holy carp...where do you come up with this trash? It's almost as if you're trying to sound ridiculous intentionally.

They tried team tactics at Worlds last year. Farah still won. Since you seem to have forgotten:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hl5JPmlM_DgKamworor has the hot hand, looked good in the 5K in Eugene. A decent kick for 2nd. But he has a long road ahead to GOAT-hood. Not impossible, but c'mon, Bekele and Geb are still there in GOAT land.
The Olympic 10K, don't count on Tanui to do too much pace setting. This man is a fine 5K runner, he's fast and has a stinging kick. He beat Kamworor at the Prefontaine 10,000 in 2015. Maybe he'd like a gold medal too. Karoki and Kam would have to be the guys working the front running for the most part, I'd think.
And don't look now, but Jeilan may be ready for a good run this summer. Remains to be seen.
To sum up, I'd still put my money on Mo for the OLY 10K title. Kam is close to the top pick but so far you gotta say Mo.
Oops, I forgot the big pink elephant in the room, a tough hombre named Rupp. If he toes the line in the 10K, only a fool would think he'd get dropped. He has the stuff to go with any break, with the exception that he needs to come up with a superior final 300.

Didn't Bekele run like a cross country runner. He is the all time greatest cross country runner to ever set foot on planet earth.

The big pink elephant is not running the 5k.
Ok first of all, I did not say Kam was anywhere near GOAT now. I said he could become if he continues to be great. He's still quite young and has done exceptionally 5k-Marathon.
Secondly, Tanui is not that good of a 5k guy. If you don't recall he was at Pre also, and got it handed to him by Edris and Kam as he was way off the back the whole race.
And lastly, of course Tanui wants gold as well. So does Karoki. So does Rupp. So does Kam. Who doesn't. But the Kenyans need to stop being selfish and just worry about Mo. As long as any single one of them (or even Rupp) can take him down that is a success for Kenya. It shows he can be beat on the world stage, at his favorable events.
