Was discussing distance running training with a non-runner the other day, and discussed high mileage for marathoners, long runs, etc. What I had no idea about was sprinters, specifically 100 and 200 meter specialists. Is there such a thing as a long run in training for sprinters? If so, what is the longest they run on a continuous long run? What is the longest sprinters like Usain Bolt run in training? I'm not talking about cumulative totals in a day's workout, I'm just asking about single run volume. Anyone?
