Switching away from Pegasus. Suggestions?

Alrhough they are totally different, Kinvaras are great. I wore Pegasus 31 and they lasted me forever and was a pretty big fan of how they felt. However when those were worn out I decided to go with the Kinvaras just to mix it up for fun, and they are awesome. I've worn them for the last year (3 total pairs and just ordered my 4th). They are much lighter (7-8 ounces) but they feel amazing in my opinion

Adidas boost glide or Boston. Not cheaper unless you get the old color which is what I do. I liked the kinvara but they got too sloppy feeling and not enough bounce for me.

Definitely disagree. The Kinvaras are plenty responsive for me, especially on longer runs

Brooks Ghost, Saucony Kinvara, Hoka Clifton, Adidas Boston Boost. I love all of them. The Kinvara and Boston will be the most responsive.

I didn't comment on response, I said "bounce"/ cushion. I never feel beat up the day after running in adidas. I feel like I ran 2 hrs in flats after running a long run the kinvara. I'm under 110 lbs and light on my feet as well.

I race in light flats and spikes so not an issue of injury.

Brooks Launch. Well cushioned, durable, light, responsive, and (relatively) cheap. Can't go wrong with them.

I also like the NB Zante and Saucony Kinvara, but they didn't last quite as long as the Launch. Although right now you can buy both for under $50 from Running Warehouse, so durability may not be a real concern.

Thanks for the responses. I'll definitely revisit the kinvaras, and I'm glad somebody mentioned the new balance zantes, because I was thinking of looking at those, too. I might also check out the adidas.

Looking around the internet just now, it seems that a lot of the shoes that I thought would be cheaper than the Pegasus might not be so much cheaper after all. Huh. Maybe things have changed since the last time I went shopping around for shoes, or else my memory is just bad.
