Was thinking about getting a pair, they have my size cheap on Eastbay. What is your opinion on these bad boys?

Dude get a pair of those beasts. I run in them everyday. concrete, trails, grass, hell anything and i run mid-15 for 5k XC
Not to be a smart ass but if you punch puma h street you will find at least 100 threads on them in addition to trackheads diagnoses. Don't make him go through it all again.
I like them a lot -- I'm either running in the H Streets or a XC shoe (if it's wet out). They're so simple -- just mesh and thin wedge of firm EVA and a really soft and passive rubber outsole. The only way it can screw someone up is not fitting properly.
It's a big jump from normal shoes, and even standard 10/20 flats. It took me just under 3 mos. starting from 10min a day before I was completely adjusted in the Tiger Paws, but it was another 3 mos. before I was fit enough for the H Streets.
3months? seriously THAT long?
That's how long it took before my calves adjusted and they stopped locking up -- now I can run in the H Streets all day long. Or anything that low. But that's just me.

You're body will adjust to running in rubber boots, if you give them time. Don't be an idiot and just start running in H-streets all the time right out of the box.

I hit a $39.95 sale at Journey's once (mall store). You can pick them up on Ebay anytime for around $30-50.
I have an idea Trackhead, just wear a sock! I think that might work wonders. Remember the Thorlo Ad days? Seriously, I have worn minimalistic shoes my entire running career, mostly training in the lightest weight trainers I can and also racing flats, it has never bothered me except the occasional stone bruise from being on rocky terrain (duh! my fault of course) and sometimes I have stressed the achilles when wearing a flat that is worn out, again Duh!
I would not have it any other way because when I have worn heavier trainers I end up kicking my ankles and thudding into the ground, it's just not worth it.....
By the way a question here, my husband JZS, has had a boatload of trouble with his heel wearing the Nike Katana Racer 2, with the zoom air unit in training. With all your experience with the lighter shoes have you heard of anyone having heel pain with this model? Any other light models out there that might not aggravate the heel area to your knowledge? Thanks in advance...
where in his heel is he getting the pain?
is it only in the katana or just more obvious in it?
Yep. I know him. He's a fine lad.
Just to back up what Trackhead said. I have been running in NB150s for a couple of years now and I have found the transition to H-Streets tough. They really offer zero support and I find my ankles, feet and lower legs have to work that bit harder.
I've been using them for my doubles the last few months (here and there) and am starting to get into the swing of them. Would not do a main run in them for a while yet though.
Great shoes, but do take some time to transition into.
I was running all my mileage in the H Streets. I recently backed off into the Katana Racers, and those are working fine for now. I wanted the little extra support because I was having some tendinitis in the ankle. BTW, someone posted here that NB is reintroducing a miminal racer, so maybe you'll have a replacement for the 150s.
