Alexa Efraimson is now 3 meets into the outdoor season and would be leading the NCAA as a freshman in the 800m (2:00.99) and the 1500m (4:08.37). In all fairness to Olivia Baker, she AE head to head.
Now, will she run the World Junior Championships or Olympic Games?

She was slightly older than Mary when she she started running with the pros and so far seems to have handle the transition much better. She had an interview on dyestat recently and seemed happy and well adjusted. Mary Cain's first year of college was much rougher it seemed from interviews and race results.
Can she run the trials before deciding on world juniors?
Watching her run it looks like she is a ferocious competitor. She has a good chance to make the Olympic team. Given a choice she'll take the Olympics.
US Jr Champs in Clovis, CA a week before Oly Trials start & approx 10 days between 1500m races.
Since we're talking 1500m here, not 5k or 10k, no reason to choose. She will do both.

Make the Olympic team in what event? On paper, the U.S. has about a half dozen women faster than her in each event. If she could make the OT finals in either event, that would be an accomplishment.
I'm rooting for her to finish top 5 at the trials and break her own USjunior record.
She's going to be close to 4:00 this year.

With a 2:00.99 already this season, I would expect sub 4 this year.

Wow! Just noticed that there is almost a 6 second gap between Simpson and the third fastest time. Then you have 4 runners all within .6 seconds of another. That should be an interesting race.
Isn't she a pro? I don't think she qualifies for NCAA leader lists.
Already been announced. She's running juniors this year. No trials.
She's running both....
I think the OP's thread was meant as an academic exercise.

You're having trouble following the conversation, obviously. That's OK, doesn't mean you aren't a decent runner, even if you can't keep up with a thread.
