I'm an above average miler/XCer but if I raced girls I could be all-state. Has anyone on here successfully made the transition? I was born a male but I do not identify with males. I identify with females and feel that I should be competing with other girls.

Also, I believe you have to present as female for a couple of years before you can compete as female. So be prepared to dress up in women's clothing for a while before u get the chance to compete.

No timeline or conditions are in the Decree.
The guidance explains that when students or their parents, as appropriate, notify a school that a student is transgender, the school must treat the student consistent with the student’s gender identity. A school may not require transgender students to have a medical diagnosis, undergo any medical treatment, or produce a birth certificate or other identification document before treating them consistent with their gender identity.
So you could go in tomorrow and identify as a girl, ask to run in tomorrow's meet, and if they refuse, then the school could have all Federal funding revoked.
