I'm a 14 year old guy looking to buy track spikes (i'm an 800 and mile runner). I have a few questions....
1) Sould I be wearing track spikes at my age?
2) If yes, what type of spikes sould I get?
3) I heard the zoom milers were good, does anyone know where I can get them for a good price (I don't care about the color)?
Don't think wearing spikes could hurt. I suggest the zoom kennedy or zoom ventulus -- I love mine, and if you're 14 you might have feet small enough to take advantage of big deals on www.eastbay.com for the smaller sizes of discontinued colors. El Guerrouj wore a modified ventulus to set his mile world record if that matters to you.

Eastbay is always good for finding top of the line spikes at good prices, just have to get lucky on the sizes.
Dick Pond is also good for finding closeouts on old colorways.
I see no reason why you should not wear spikes...
I personally prefer the Maxcats for the 400-mile. They are a bit aggressive for a lot of people's tastes. Try some different ones on and see what you think feels comfortable and would suit your fancy. good luck.
How long have you been running? If you've never raced in spiked shoes before, you may want to consider going for something like a cross country spike, that way you can use spike blanks in them if the spikes end up making your calves too sore and still have decent traction from the lugs on the outsole. You could, of course, do the same with track spikes (sub in blanks if the spikes are too aggravating) and unlike some of the brainwashed shills who have posted already, I won't tell you that you need top of the line spikes at this point. In fact, chances are very good that you'll get no benefit for spending that much more than what a basic spiked shoe costs. Each manufacturer has a track spike model that would be useful for your events, such as the Nike Rival MD or the Mizuno Split or Puma Complete TF AllAround or asics Hyper MD or adidas Cosmos MD or NB RS500. The trick is to find a store convenient to you that has a decent selection and go try them on to see which one gives you the best fit. It won't matter how light or high tech it is or flashy it looks if you're not comfortable in them.
My brother is 12 and runs in Kennedy's so age doesnt matter. I would go with the Milers. I have those and they are excellent.
