Weekend results: Galen Rupp competed for the first time in 2005, running a facility record 14 minutes, 8.40 seconds in the 5,000 meters at the United Heritage Track and Field Invitational, hosted by Boise State, in Nampa, Idaho. Rupp was one of several Portland-area notables running for the Oregon Project that competed in the meet Saturday.
Former and current Central Catholic runners Scott Wall and Kenny Klotz finished first and third, respectively, in the 3,000. Wall's winning time was 8:36.45; Klotz finished in 8:46.82. Caitlin Chock, the only woman entered in the men's event, was 19th out of 20 and finished in 9:53.11. Central Catholic senior Annaliese Chapa was second in the 800 meters in 2:13.61. . . .
