My Garmin FR60 is showing signs of age, similar to what I am going through. I've had it for years. What seems to have happened is that GPS has taken over and that the FR60 and its successor the FR70 are no longer made. Is there no footpod-only replacement? I've got a GPS watch for when that is needed (trail running, mainly) and don't want to spend a fortune on technology that I don't need.
Well, if you want to stick with Garmin The 60 and 70 might be available on Ebay.
Of course the newer - cheaper watches The FR 15, 25 are both footpad compatible between $80 and $130 bucks refurbished. They have GPS but you can turn in off to use a Ant+ footpad.
Same goes for a older model with more bells and whistles like the 610 or the 210 that's in the same price range
If you want to go out of Garmin, Sunnto makes the quest watch that uses a foot pod also. the Quest.
