The subject pretty much says it all. I'm training for an October Marathon and I plan on using Pfitz 18/70. I've researched his and several other plans (Daniel's, Higdon, BAA etc.) but Pfitz's seems like the best fit for me with one exception- Saturday runs. His plan prescribes rest days on Monday and (usually) recovery days on Saturday. I know a 5 mile recovery run isn't a huge time commitment or anything but I really like to keep my Saturday's free. It gives me a welcome break to look forward to during the week and I can enjoy a beer or 12 on Friday night without having to worry about suffering through a run.
So, will switching the Monday and Saturday have and significant adverse affects?
Background on me (if it matters)- 30y/o male. I've been running off and on since high school. Got back into the sport last fall. Ran a 1:28 Half in late March off 45mpw without any formalized training plan. Since the Half I've got my mileage back up to 50mpw of mostly easy mileage. Goal time for the Full will be 3:10.
