What rule or rules, if any, might be involved in Slagowski's great mile run at the Jesuit Relays? His teammate /pacer did not step off the track to the infield but instead slowed and tripped a passing runner just after about 800 meters into the race. Could that nullify Sagowski's mark?

Why would you want Slag's mark to be nullified? How does his rabbit tripping a competitor affect the quality of Slag's performance? Sounds like you are just looking for a reason to take his sub 4 away!
i did not bother re-watching the video, but if I remember correctly he tripped in like lane 3-4 which is pretty far out anyways... so like... why was he there?

Reading comprehension, I surmise, is not your forte as I wrote about Slagowski's "great mile run." But I asked because I wonder if there are any rules that could impinge on such a situation.

If by 4:20 you mean 3:53 for 1500m (about 4:12y), then sure.
Why SHOULDN'T he have been up there? He went through 880y in about 2:04 or 2:05. If he is going for a sub-4:10 mile, that isn't too bad of pacing at all.

Looks like the rabbit was pulling off the track (to the outside), but the pack had already caught up to him and Ahmed was just trying to pass him (since the rabbit gave no indication he was going to move out to the right going into the corner and there were runners ahead of him that were starting to pick up the pace).

The kid who was tripped is a stud. The top kid in Oregon and only a Junior. I think he could've been 4th had he not been tripped

Are you ignorant. The pacer was working WITH Slag. Impeding a competitor is part of the job you hope you don't get caught doing.

Ahmed stupidly "followed" the rabbit out into lane 3 and tripped. Lane 1 was wide open.
There's no one to blame besides Ahmed.
Rabbit also kind of f'ed up. He should have pulled wide on the straightaway then stepped off as soon as Slagowski passed him. Instead he kept going after Slagowski passed him and let the field catch up to him and only then did he try to step off the track.

Wrong, moran. The rabbit is a tool who was securing the win for Slag. Stupidest rabbit ever; no clue how to get out of the way, and only the rabbit knows when it is actually quitting the race.

Because he started slowing down just ahead and inside of the guy, and kept moving out. So the guy had no chance to get back inside of him.
It was definitely a blatant foul, but doubt it should impact Slagowski.
At least he didn't trip Jamie Norton, who runs the mile in 4:06. If he had, Jamie might not have run the mile in 4:06, which is faster than 4:12, so that would have been worse.
It should have nothing to do with Slag - what an effort! - but the rabbit really should have just stepped off to the left, inside the track rail, after being passed by Slag.
Waiting until the turn to move out slowly just forced the other runner to move out, too. Once he realized the rabbit was stepping off, he tried to move inside but caught his foot. Bad move by the rabbit, but remember these are high school kids. He probably had not done this before and I am sure he felt terrible.
Slag made it look so easy.
