Ameer Webb recently just destroyed his former pr in the 200 with a 19.85. Huge improvements this year. Is he clean or on the special sauce?

No sub-20 guy is clean.

But he trains at altis, seems like a lot of posters on this forum say that pfaff at altis is one of the few true dope free coaches in the sprint game. Could webb be using on his own or does his pfaff and the staff administer his doses and just play the "dirty russian cheats" political game?
Most coaches don't administer the special sauce. They send the athletes to a doc/health professional and it's up to him and the athlete to agree upon what kind of meds, illegal or not, he should take.

This does make some sense... even though I'm still leaning towards the side that the coaches at least have some idea of what's going on. I just laugh when I see professional track athletes talk about how some whey isolate drink helps them recover and improve performance. lol
He didn't destroy his former PB, because he ran 19.91 just a few weeks ago. Secondly, both sub 20 races were with considerable wind, with this recent 19.85 having almost the maximum allowable. So in essence he's a 20.0x runner who's lucked out with great conditions thus far. Nothing to be suspicious of frankly.
How has his situation changed since he left college? Maybe he is under a different training system? What were his high school vs college PRs?

Those are still very impressive times, and 19.91 is a lot better than his former bests. Back in the day 19.85 would have almost guaranteed a medal or even gold, not a lot of sprinters could do that. But now almost every no name random guy coming up is running those times. Can't do anything but to be suspicious.
I could see if he'd smashed his 200m PR by 4 tenths(adjusting for wind) or something crazy like that, but the fact is, he didn't. And no, a 19.91 is NOT a lot better than a 20.02. That difference in time could easily be the result of better race execution more than an actual improvement in fitness compared to last year. Who's to say he couldn't have run a 19.9x in 2015 with the right conditions. Again, there's nothing here that warrants any suspicion.

He's a local Orange County kid, so this was the article that the OC Register wrote about him after Mt. Sac:
http://www.ocregister.com/articles/webb-712460-world-wind.htmlHe went to Cerritos College before transferring to Texas A&M. His CC bests were 10.37 & 20.67 and I think he ran 20.03 at TAMU. He had a tough couple of years after college, where he wasn't doing that badly like 10.11w at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista in 2015, but not really good enough to make much money at it. So he went to ALTIS and is doing better now. Pfaff and Godina are as anti-drug as anybody in track and field, and there is no evidence at all that he is doing anything banned.
This is not like Hannah Cunliff running 11.59 at Oklahoma, not being able to train with the team because she announced that she was transferring (because her coach went to ALTIS), and suddenly dropping 10.99 in her first race at Oregon.
Shut up you Los Angeles track star haters who whine constantly about Jenner, Clay, Hasay, Leer, Torance, Rafer, JJK, Rowbury, Kovacs, Dragila, Allyson, Jeter, etc.

Thanks for the reply. This doesn't seem insane, considering his credentials and the favorable conditions. Webb always seemed to be on the fringe of being great in college so it's good to see him move closer to that level. It'll be tough to make the team for Rio though with Gay, Gatlin and Brommel (assuming they all run it).
