God I hate having to ask...mile or 1600? Shoreline? In any case epic all-HS performance.

Michael Slagowski goes sub 4 at HS invite in Portland, OR!
WE wrote about Slagowski a few weeks ago in our Weekly Recap:
Here is a dyestat feature on him from last week:

Hey that's pretty fast.
Full Mile BABY!!!

I changed the title of the thread to reflect this fact.
Crazy.
I was just telling my pal on a run today that Ratcliffe would be next and not him. Guess I was wrong.
Slagowski is BACK BABY!!!!!
Where is he going to school next year?
Ryun, Verzbicas, Slagowski.
Penn State I believe. Went 1:48 solo a few weeks ago.
"Après moi le déluge..."
Maton, Fisher, Hunter, Slagowski...It's a brave new world, all over again. The top high schoolers will continue smashing sub-4s and 8:4X times for the foreseeable.
The era of the less-talented, but successful D1 walk-on is fast coming to a close. With thoroughbreds filling up the rosters at all the schools of consequence in the NCAA, there will be no more room for noble grinders.
Is there anyway we can talk this kid out of running at Penn State. We don't want him to lead the nation in January every year and then do nothing except maybe a nice carry at Penn Relays every other year.

3rd high school runner under 4 minutes for a mile in a high school meet.
Thought Webb did it too though.
MICHAEL SLAGOWSKI>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>DREW HUNTER
THIS DUDE RAN A 3:59 AGAINST HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION AND WON BY 6 SECONDS. THIS DUDE IS THE REAL DEAL.
Hunter v. Slagowski...will it happen?
I'm thinking both can go 3:55 in a Pre Classic-style race, maybe one goes under.
kind of posts. No guarantee this kid won't end of the like the rest of the super talented/super injured bunch who amount to diddly shit on the pro circuit. History has told us that to be a pro you have to dope or walk a fine gray area line anyways.
slagowski has more upside than hunter
he has 22 second speed!
