not a Crossfit workout, but sounds like one. Read about it recently.
Ten rounds of 400 meter run followed by ten deadlifts with your body weight on the bar. Assume you could have the barbell sitting there at the finish line.
Who in the TF world could do this the fastest? Need to have great endurance and strength.
The ten deadlifts with body weight are fatiguing enough that I can't see anybody doing the 400's faster than 5k pace. Let's say you are a really strong guy who can run 15:00 5k. Not many people can deadlift their body weight a hundred times in less then 10 minutes. Combined this would be incredibly hard to finish in under 30 minutes and the best would probably struggle to break 25. What say you?

Problem is, a vast majority of runners could t finish the workout due to the weight of the deadlifts. Go out and do about thirty reps with your body weight and tell us how you feel before you get too confident. I'm sure there are runners who can do it fast, but a lot more couldn't finish I'd bet.

LOL are you serious? Any decent athlete could do this in well under 10min or else you are weak AF. Most could do it in 5 hahaha.

Maybe if it was 2 times bodyweight. Bodyweight is peanuts.
I can deadlift over 300 pounds without even bending my knees.
I'd take a 5K-10K runner. Mo Farah probably could do this probably fast.
Take the total time of the workout ~10 mins for the 400s ~5 mins for the deadlifts. Total workout time of 15 mins. Sounds like something a 5K runner would be best at.

My mistake, poorly written. The workout is ten rounds of 400 then 10 DL's after each. Total of 100 DL's.
I'd go with Nick Symmonds. Looks like a pretty strong guy.
Was at a gym with a convenient outdoor barbell and remembered this thread so I tried it. Caveat, my 400's were an estimate of down and back in a parking lot. No matter, it's the effort that matters. I weigh about 150 so just used one plate (135 lbs). If you don't deadlift regularly this will bust your *ss. I had to run the 409's shockingly slow because I was so gassed from the deadlifts. I'm sure I'll be so sore tomorrow I won't be able to walk, but it was a fun change of pace.

And how long did it take you?
Gotta be someone with a great weight to power ratio whose body weight is on the lower end to make the lift easier

And how long did it take you?
Didn't time it, but guessing around 25 mins. Random distance too so time meant nothing, just wanted to try it. I've been hacking up a lung ever since, not used to that kind of s*it.

Calling bs, no one would actually do this without timing it.
Believe it or not, I also did said workout without a watch. Nobody here wants to hear it, but it kicked the sh*t out of me, and I plan to tailor it a bit and add it to my program. Give it a try, you'll be surprised.
