Just looked at the results and seen Hebron,Ky won alot of money in both the half and full. This is a bunch of bull. This races need to do there homework, and stop letting this cheating ass russian keep taking hard working money from others.

I was at the finishline and i am curious to know how the russian(larisa) was able to be in the finish area. This is directly after the finish. I must admit, Glass City Marathon and Toledo Road Runners what were you thinking allowing her to have athletes that are coached by her in your race? I would like to know this was allowed.
Next Sunday it will be the Pittsburgh Marathon with DICKS SPORTING GOODS as the key sponsor. There promo's include returning champion Stephen Njoroge from Hebron.
Start emailing the race director now at Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon, Inc. that testing should be mandatory for ALL prize winners and runners that have been compensated for expenses.
The P3R organization promises an exceptional experience for runners which should include a fair and transparent race - drug testing should be part of the experience, IMO
Write the P3R board (Mr Stanley Parker is listed as the topdog) and it appears
sends the invites to compensated elites. If an elite accepts compensation for travel and lodging they should also be tested.
Over $100K in prize money at stake - let's hope clean competitors win it and cheats are exposed

The point is all prize winners or elites accepting expense money should be tested.
If you can support a $100K plus prize pool you can test a significant (if not all) prize winners not just Kenyans but all before sending any cash out.
In most cases a local health care organization is a sponsor (UPMC Sports Medicine in Pittsburgh case) so they should have the resources to collect samples for testing.
If they want to sponsor they should also live up to their promise of an "exceptional" experience.

This contributes to it, but I walked away with the feeling that today is the last time I run Glass City. There must be 50 sharp turns on the new course. What are they thinking?

Glass City was noted for that 15 years ago.
Hopefully that part has changed.
Yeah, I've volunteered at this race for eight years but I'm done. Bringing in those mercenaries means either they don't know enough not to or they don't care. The organization seemed to be a complete clusterf**k this year too--the first water stop didn't get supplies until nearly race time. The appeal to this race used to be that it wasn't big and impersonal but that's gone now. Sorry, Clint, I'm out.
Yes it was. Through a lot of the middle miles the course was on a bike path on the side of an open road. It was just really strange running with traffic as well instead of defensively.

Fastland, Exactly! They are Cheaters. The Coach is a Cheater, and as far as I am concerned the WHOLE Group from that Hebron/Newport, KY (whatever City that want to compete as one weekend) which is weird, are Scum.
Just a total shame on the race organization for the following a OVERALL aspect like Indy Marathon did this past fall.
RD need to get with the program or you're going to get Rolled by these Losers and cheats.
I was one of the elite athletes at the GCM. Larisa's email address was not included in the elite athlete list until the last email the night before the race.
Given that the organizers had made a statement against doping I was surprised and disappointed that this group was allowed comped entry. I understand races would have a hard time barring entry but they can certainly avoid comping known sketchy groups, especially if it's at the last minute as this seems.
I'd love to hear a response from the organizers.

FR - Very much agree, I was also an elite in this years race, and noticed the same thing. Not only to get to the start line and see a bus load of her runners in the race. Just an all out SHAME on this GCM. Like you said, they even sent out an email stating Drug testing Etc.. oh well last time doing GCM for me!
