I started wearing Nike Free one week ago. The outer part of my lower leg gets very tight for the first 5-6 miles of my runs at 6:35-6:50 min/mile.
When I use less flexible shoes like Boston boost or Flyknit Lunar 3 I don't get this tightness in my outer lower leg.
Today I notice my right knee rolling inside 3-4 times it didn't cause pain at all but it was a weird feeling. I got a bit scared and I realize that Nike Free doesn't constrain the pronation motion. I'm just wondering if it's good to keep using Nike Free and if that will make my stride stronger or I'm losing my time and I should go back to my traditional neutral ride kind of shoes?
Is my lower leg and feet actually working harder as Nike claims and that's why I get this outer lower leg tightness?
I'm running 80 miles a week as I'm building up for Chicago Marathon.
