Hi,
I've completed my 6th marathon last week in Manchester in a time of 3hr 21mins. I ran the same race in 1996 with a time of 3hr 23min and in the intervening years finished a further four marathons including London and New York in times of 3hr 25mins, 3hr 27mins, 3hr 30mins and a not so consistent time of 3hr 58mins.
I'm now turning my attention to the question of how could I make a significant leap in my times and duck below 3hrs. I'm not entirely sure if I'm physically capable given I'm not built like a runner.
I'd love anyone's feedback if they have any experience or knowledge of how to make such a big jump in marathon running and if my ambition of a sub 3hr marathon is possible?
