It's tough to say but I think Brazier's best days might be behind him. It will be hard for him to get momentum back & FloTrack were amongst he experts saying (on their podcast) that he bottled it at NCAAs. I would be surprised if he ever runs under 1:46.55 again.

It's not over for his career. He burned out early this year, he'll be fine next time around.
The meet was at A&M. Hernandez 1:46.29 was the fastest 800 in a dual meet ever aside from Greer (UO) 1:46.20. Hernandez has been extremely consistent this year.
this kid is a phenom and of course they're training him all wrong.
He needs more BASE. they cut his mileage way back. remember this kid almost beat fisher in an indoor mile in h.s. if they give him some miles under his belt, with his natural speed endurance, this kid will be a monster and he won't crash and burn like we're seeing.

Best days are behind him? He just ran a huge 1:45 PR his first race of the indoor season. Burnt out maybe but he's also coming off injury if you remember. You don't make a huge jump like that in one year and then just stop progressing all together. He may not get a whole lot faster but his best days are certainly not behind him. He WILL go faster than 1:46 again

I think this is likely the issue. Seems like they're running a super low mileage program for him at A&M. It makes sense that if they dropped his mileage once he got there and just hammered speed that he would peak in early indoors and then start to decline as his aerobic strength atrophied.
Then again, maybe he's just coming off an injury but 1:51 is a long ways away from where he was 4-5 months ago.

the program's working for hernandez. I would have had Brazier, with his miler strength, running xc like he did in hs and not peaking in January, but he was injured at nationals so who knows what is going on here?
You're an idiot. They're not being dicks...his training was discussed in an interview that was posted online. I was concerned when he was running so fast out of the gate indoors, and I do not think the A&M 400/800 coach is a good fit for his long term development. He seems to be one of the coaches stuck in the Stone Age when it comes to mid d training. When I was taking my official visits and was at FSU Braman referred to indoor track as fool's gold. The A&M coach probably is not thinking too far into the future when training Brazier.
He appeared to be running with a cast on his right hand, might of had and effect.

For some people here, just a few short months ago he was surely running 1:42 this summer and be a lock for the Olympic team
He's gonna make the Olympic team. I'd bet $20 on it.
