I'm sorry I ran one once and that's what i was chanting the whole way!
Man, sorry to hear that. I guess it would be better than having Bobby Brown's "Every Little Step" stuck in you head.

Oh great. Someone posts about Terry Jacks "Seasons in the Sun" and it's stuck in my head for a week, only to be replaced by this. I'm going to kill myself.
I think we need to start a "worst song to be stuck in your head during a marathon" thread. I believe that we have three excellent candidates thus far.

No one from New York calls it The Big Apple
No one from New Orleans calls it The Big Easy
No one from boston calls it Beantown
No one from Philadelphia calls it Philly
Frisco

I'll buy your first three premises. But, nobody from Philadelphia calls it Philly- I think thats quite a stretch. Maybe you should have said nobody from Philadelphia calls it the city of brotherly love.

You said brotherly love. hee heeee heeee heee ha heee....
Slang doesn't bother me much as long as I don't have to try too hard to figure out what's been said.
Some call it the "full pull".
I call it "damn bastard".
On a coolness scale though, "Marry" ranks a 1 (out of 10) while "Thon" ranks an 8.
What about people from Jersey and Vegas?
Anybody that says they do mini-marathons every time they do a road 5K deserves to be shot.
I'm from Philly, and I have run "Philly".
And a lot of people from Philadelphia and the surrounding area refers to it as the city as Philly.
