Oly A at the Florida Relays. Starting to show his real potential after years in the 1:46-48 range. What do you guys think?

I think that Arroyo will eventually run 3:30 for 1500m.
This guy is among the most talented in the country. He is just one good mid-distance coach and a few years' training away from competing well on the world stage.

I agree. I don't think he has 3:30 in his future, but he certainly has a strength background and remarkable range.
PRs:
400: 49.1 (HS, couldn't find college)
800: 1:45.8
1500: 3:44
3200: 8:51 (HS)
5k XC: 14:59 (HS)

Ran 8:51 in HS??? With his speed he should be a 3:30 1500 runner. 1500 guys that go 1:45 are Olympic finalists.

8:51 doesn't mean as much as it used to. Several kids per year break that now-often, even at the same meet, the Arcadia meet in California.

It means significantly more for someone that runs 1:45 though. I agree that 8:51 doesn't mean a whole lot as long as we're talking about 1:52 guys who run XC in college.
Vasquez looks like a Rican Makhloufi to me...just sayin'...
