Calling it now, Galen will have some problems coming back to the track and these up and comers are going to take al sal down.

Nope not a chance
German? LOL lol
Rupp would have to be seriously injured to not make the team.
Fernandez would have to be seriously uninjured to make the team (which I'd love to see but have a hard time imagining after all this time).
Nope. Derrick is going to make it. Illinois represent!
Not that it's impossible, but I'm pretty sure no only Ritz has beaten Rupp in anything 10k or longer in the last decade, as far as Americans go.

I hate to be this guy, but it's seems a lot more likely that German will DNF than anything. Ben... Just no. Ben needs to work on tactics, but he is a 1500-5k guy. True I agree with, especially if he doesn't make the 5k team after the fact (he scratched 10k last time. Galen will make it with ease. It will be more interesting than last year, with Ritz in the mix and such. However, Galen is just a phenomenal 10k runner, no matter what you think of him as a person. He made a mockery of the field at USA's last year.
No one's mentioning the Kenyans yet (Chelimo, Lagat, Cheserek, Chalenga). A Kenyan not named Lagat made the indoor 3k men's team. I don't recall any Kenyan not named Lagat making a US team on the men's side.
Don't be shocked to see 2 Kenyan-Americans grab two spots and Rupp. Unless of course our former Applebee's employee decides to rise to the occasion.

Shadrack Kipchirchir was on last year's 10k team

please tell me...how is Ritz going to be a factor at all? I believe he will take out the 10k hard at the trials, but I doubt he can run under 27:40s leading through 8k. even in 2012 shape, he wouldn't make the team this year. not with True in the mix, Rupp still at it, plus CD, Chelimo, etc
Ben True has never shown the ability to put together a 10k on the track. I'd still take Ritz over him. True should be focused on the 5k, it's his strongest event.
Ritz just ran sub 13:10 as recently as 2.5 years ago.
His marathons have always been hit or miss, but he's been consistent on the track, despite him focus being elsewhere.
Count it.
Leonard Korir.
Everyone seems to be forgetting Hassan mead. With his indoor season going the way it did look for him to repeat in making the team. Chris Derrick has been hurt for a while and hasn't raced much. He will have an uphill battle to make the team. Personally don't think he will make it but it will be interesting.
And now Abdi IS trying to make the team again! So many contenders. Abdi, Ritz, True, Mead, Shady, Estrada, Puskedra, Derrick, Rupp, Lagat, etc. sorry but not counting GF or BB until either one of them does something at 10k first.

I don't think you understand the meaning of the word "just".

Depending on how much $$, I will give you some odds on this.
According to the race twitter account, Ritz us racing the Shamrock Shuffle 8k in Chicago on Sunday.
Chelimo looks very good but is he going for 5k or 10k or both?
Hassan Mead, Chris Derrick, if healthy, Ritz, if healthy, Rupp a sure thing, True, a sure thing if he runs it, Cheserek would be tough if a citizen by that time, Chelanga if in 27:08 shape again. Should be tough to qualify.
10k team: Rupp, True, Jenkins
5k team: Hill, True, Chelimo
