From this sample workout
Once weekly speed maintenance/development day: AE run
of 25-30 minutes followed 1200m of stride the straights/jog the turns
(2 @ 3k pace, 2 @ 1500 pace, 2 @ 800m pace) then 3-4 x 80
RELAXED accelerations (last 10m at best RELAXED top end
speed) w/ walk back or easy 320m jog recoveries. Then 4-6 x 30 at
best RELAXED top end speed with super easy walk back or easy
370m jog recoveries + optional 1 x 300-400 at 1500 effort, un-timed
after a 5-10 minute recovery following accelerations. Focus on great
form, turnover, pushoff, etc. Easy 15-20 minute cool down.
Joe Rubio talks about "1200m of stride the straights/jog the turns
(2 @ 3k pace, 2 @ 1500 pace, 2 @ 800m pace)" does this imply running 6 1200's or changing pace within the 1200m? My interpretation was one single 1200 and my friend ran the workout and did 6 1200's since that was his interpretation.
What was the right thing?
