Has anyone done both of these and able to compare the pros/cons of each. I am considering doing one or the other. Cost is basically the same ($175 USATF) v. ($195 USTFCCCA). Does one versus the other do a better job of overall teaching fundamentals, and also then preparing for the next level?
You should post why you are thinking of doing a course at all.
I am hoping that it will enhance my overall general knowledge of t&f events and make me more marketable to get into the college coaching profession. I was a sprinter, but want to learn more about the other event areas, so that I might be able to coach more than just sprints.
I've done both, and I felt that USTFCCCA covered things in a way that I felt were much more useful from a practical standpoint. Both are pretty basic though, and I doubt that either would do much for your marketability at the college coaching level, except for maybe as a prerequisite for further education.
