New USA 2016 Olympic Uniforms (Guess What Color...)

I think they suck, the last two olympics were much better

and the marathon singlets are always the best (white)

I'm old enough to not like *all red for a USA Olympic uniform - too Soviet-looking for me - but all blue with no stars and no block red U-S-A? Too generic.

Why is it so hard to splash some stars on that track and field suit? and a few red racing stripes here and there?

I think the Captain America look for the bobsled and cycling kit is a bit much. However, I agree that there should be some red on the uniforms, just like there should have been more blue on the old uniforms. The US colors are red, white AND blue. Not just red or just white or just blue or any two of them.

Otherwise, I like the new uniforms. Just put a bit of red on there to show that it's the US and not Italy.

I also like it, I think they look cool...much better than the all red.

I think any US uniform needs to include the color red. This version would be fine if we were a football team and had a special game requiring an "alternate" uniform, but to not include red on any of our Olympians just doesn't seem right to me.

And, to whomever suggested we need to look like a flag, please stop. Stars on a uniform are awful - stripes are tough enough to do correctly as it is.

Those look awful.

These aren't bad, but I really, REALLY prefer the red to the blue.

I don't like those Nike uniforms, so I'm gonna skip Rio and instead write another book, record a music album, and go fishin'.

Why don't the mannequins have heads? Normally mannequins have all 4 limbs plus a head, or no head or limbs, you don't normally see limbs but no head.

They are in a special category of paralympic competition.

Arm warmers and leg warmers for Rio? Isn't it warm enough? Your uniform shouldn't have technology to make you faster than your competitors. Is this uniform doping?

Yeah I'm with you. The navy is pretty defining I think, people would just know when they saw the jersey in a pack. I don't see much different from this color of blue than what we see from Italy or France in competitions. And for that matter why does Italy choose to consistently have a blue uniform across all sports? I would think that there has to be something there

I have never seen worse taste...

Love the all blue. I wish neon would go away already... Nike Volt looked good with the USA red singlet and shorts from 2012, but nothing beats all-white spikes. Team USA deserves better than the spike colorways that 80% of athletes wear.

Those are lame, at least keep those block letters that are kinda pointing down in an arrow. Those are iconic. And why does italy use blue if there flag is red, white, and green?

I actually like these better than the ones they replace. But then, I'm French.

The Italian team name is the Azzurri - the "Blues" because blue was the color of the kings of Italy from the House of Savoy. It's like the Dutch using orange from their royal house (House of Orange-Nassau) even though the Dutch flag is red, white, and blue.

I agree about white spikes, but athletes could choose them if they want and their sponsor allows it. Shoes aren't part of the uniform. They're "equipment" chosen by individual athletes.

I think it is interesting that Italy wears blue but their cycling national champion wears a green red and white tri-color jersey. Same for Belgium which wears light blue when competing as a team but the national champ wears black gold and red.
