I'm a sophomore in highschool and it's the beginning of track season. This past meet, I ran 4:31 in the mile and 9:43 in the two mile. Am I on pace for a chance to get a scholarship to a D1 running school by senior year? I also have a very good grades and am heavily preparing to do very well on the state tests coming up.
Those are very promising times at your age. If you were coming into my program, I would be pleased and curious as to your work ethic, personality, and aptitude for learning training strategies.
On the basis of those numbers and normal ambition/health, you could probably achieve the
goals you work toward.

College coaches are going to want to know your 400/800 times as well. I'd ask to run the in a meet or two this spring.
4:31 with a 55 second 400 shows some decent endurance.
4:31 with a 52 second 400 shows potential to be around 4:15 or under senior year. How much so would determine whether you are walk-on or scholarship material.
I'm assuming you've heard of Ryan Hall. He ran 4:30 freshmen year, 4:22 sophomore, 4:05 junior, 4:02 senior year. So I guess its possible.
How much are you currently training in terms of weekly mileage?
