Hyperspeed-7. Anyone tried it yet? Is it similar to the Hyperspeed-6

I don't like it at all... The 6 was a great shoe. The 7 has an increased stack height which was not needed, but the worst thing in my opinion is a pad that runs around the top of the shoe. It irritates my Achilles to the point where I cannot run in that shoe at all

Interesting. Have you tried the tarther?

I can see that rim from the photos. What's the point of it? Hold the heel more snug?

Still on the 5 here. Should i stock up 6 instead of going to 7? Preferring lower stack height, running the 5 w/o insole.

I'd also like to know since I'm a fan of Asics' shoes and will probably need a pair of racing flats soon. I currently have their Hyper XCS and, while light like a flat, they have five rubber spikes in the forefoot that would probably be uncomfortable on the road

It fits snug in the toe box but doesn't hug the midfoot as much. The heel counter is extremely hard. I'd recommend the Saucony Type A.

Narrower toe box and wider midfoot? Are you sure?

I have a neutral foot and medium arch. My big toe slightly bumped the front/medial side of the toebox while their was slack in the upper through my arch. Just how it fit my foot.

I'll try sizing up to avoid that. I'm seeing a trend of sizes getting smaller. It's not just Asics. Hope they work for me because the Hyperspeed6 was 100% perfect for my feet.
