Anyone have any experiences with running slower workouts after working all day. Being awake for 10-11 hours then hitting the track?
For instance running much much slower for mile repeats than what you could do mid-afternoon on a Saturday?
Anyone with the same experience?
Standing desk. Made a huge difference for me. I got a tall chair, so I stand until I start to feel tired of standing (usually about 15 to 20 minutes), then sit until I feel antsy (about 5 minutes). My back was hurting from sitting all day and that went away within weeks of switching to the standing desk. Also my workouts were immediately faster after the switch.
I still train semi-seriously and occasionally hit times that rival what I ran in college. I'm not elite, but I'm not an 18 minute 5k guy either.
