I was wandering what living in colorado city is like? How the town, is it clean, is it a good town to live in. Are all the paths and trails people been talking about worth it and what are they like, are there lots of good runs there. How hard is it to get jobs there. Whats the weather like, is it humid in the summers, does it rain a lot, do you get a lot of snow, does the snow stay around all year long? Can anyone there tell me what its like to live there? Thanks.

its awesome, its clean, good town. traisl are badass, no place can compare. jobs are good its not humid at all doesnt rain much not a ton of snow, it doesnt stay around year long
Great place. Town is clean and the west side is the place to live. Unbelievable trails out the door. It is 65-70 degrees today. But we will pay for the good weather in May.

It was 67-69 degrees yesterday today will be 61!!! and in the 50's for the next 4-5 days. There are 3 military bases here + the Airforce Academy. Jobs? Taco Bell is always hiring :-) Decent amount of rain. Not humid at all, its being at 6200ft elevation that will get you. After a snow storm 8-12" in 3-4 days you don't even know it snowed....but up until June-July you can look at Pikes Peak and see some snow up there of course @ 14,110ft. You'll love it.

The westside is closer to the Garden, Cheynne Canon, Section 16, Red Rocks Park, Waldo Canon, Barr Trail and minutes from Monument Valley. The folks on the east side have nice veiws of my playground.
Another thing what are the trail there like? Are they assphalt trails or dirt trails and how close are they if you live on the west side. Do you have to drive to them or are they right there in your back yard?

What is "wandering"??
The trails are mostly packed gravel trails and the closest trail to my house is litterally in my back yard. I can go out my back door and run hundreds of miles without stepping on asphalt. Not everyone has a trail right in their backyard, but most people probably live 3 blocks or less from a trail. I prefer the Westside because its closer to the mountains. The Eastside has a little too much sprawl for me. Rows and rows of house that all look the same.
Couple of days of snow. We have to pay for 67 degree days in January.
colorado springs = one of the best training environments in the country, hands down (yes, better than boulder in my opinion)
What are the trails like exactly? Are they wide like large dirt roads / old rail road beds or more single track switch back types?
How bout dirt roads. I'd be happy with lots of dirt roads to run on.

It has a list and description of some of the trails in town. There are many more. It lists whether a trail is paved, gravel (usually a 5 foot wide gravel road) or natural (usually still gravel but narrower than 5 feet to dirt single track, but still very runnable). There are many more dirt roads that are not listed because they are not considered trails but they are still great places to run.
