You really can't read, can you?
It's terrible how USATF keeps the money for it's own gravy train members.

Maybe it's you?
The average 2015 income earned in the sport – sponsorships, USATF tier funding, prize money, grants – by these TOP 10 ranked athletes is $16,553
59% of these TOP 10 ranked athletes do not have a shoe or apparel company sponsor, and these athletes average under $10,000 in income
52% of the TOP 10 ranked athletes who applied for a grant are making ends meet by holding down a part-time or full-time job
Of course athletes that rank outside of the top 10 fare even worse
USATF's "pro" athletes can't even afford to live on running revenue. It is SO nice of USATF to throw $1-5k at them.
Meanwhile, USATF's executive salaries are doing great!!!
If anyone at all wonders why the sport remains marginal, it's right there. The federation is completely uninterested in their athlete's well being.
Ask the federation about uniform sponsor infractions and broadcast rights and you'll get an entirely different level of interest from the federation.
Lanana 'reimburses' the uniformed USATF fatties at Hayward field $thousand outside of the rules. Lanana should also ouside of the rules, reimburse the parents of athletes at NCs, USAs, Pre for decades of child-to-elite expenses which he and Nike benefit from.
