On my 18th birthday I want to get a tattoo to show autism awareness as my little brother is autistic and he means a lot to me. I have a race the next day. If I were to get a tattoo on my right ankle/calf/thigh, would I be able to race the next day or would it need to heal? Thanks.
Sure you can race, you'll most likely be walking it though assuming you're not in pain there the next morning or during race. anything rubbing your new tattoo might mess up the ink a little and you'd need to get it touched up later. I probably avoid racing it if you're getting inked and especially right on the ankle/calf to prevent a change in running gait, infecting your tattoo, messing up your tattoo, or creating some other injury
I don't see why you can't. I got a tattoo on my foot and went on a run a the next day. My foot was a little sore but it was doable.
Just get it after the race. You can wait a day for something that will be on you the rest of your life.
By the way, it shouldn't hurt afterwards, but it does hurt while you're getting it on your ankle/anywhere over bone. Is it so big that it covers your ankle, calf and thigh, or are you picking one place?
I would be picking one place to get it. Should I just wait until after?

Is getting a tattoo going to get rid of his autism? How about spending more time with him and buying him tools to help him rather than spending money foolishly on yourself!
