I did 300/250/200/150/150 last week, what are some more I could do? I have three more weeks until outdoor starts and my coach takes over my training.

2x4x200m on a 1 minute cycle
Our staple workout was 6x200 with 200 walking break back to the start.
My teammate wants to do 4 sets of 150/200 with about 2:00 rest with the 150s below 800m pace and the 200s slightly above. How's that sound?

speed?
40m fly-in sprints on 10min rest.
I've done 4 x 120m with 4/5 mins rest, ran them at 200m pace.
Some people advocate much shorter reps like 50m, I personally find these reps too short. It places too much focus on acceleration rather than top speed.
4 x 150 as fast as you can without blowing up is great. I rest until I am breathing normal

So it's early in the season. Does your coach give you a lot of fast speedy stuff during the season?

Not sure. I have a new coach this season and am not certain what his training will be like. My last coach had me do literally zero speed work in season though. He trained me like a mile/two-mile guy even though I always ran the 800m, rarely running much faster than mile pace and almost never going under 800m pace.

Why did you wait until the last minute to post your question? It's kind of late in the day actually. You should have inquired after x-c was concluded. If you're looking for a miracle worker contact Anne Sullivan. And I don't believe she posts here.
