In high school you were a champion, perhaps a record-setter. You went to D-1 college with high expectations. But the competition was stiff. But you still sacrificed good times, parties, getting laid, etc. to run in circles around the campus. You might have been the best runner on your team. Maybe second best. Maybe 6th best. And then it was over. Your weren't elite enough to go pro. You decided not to dope. You're not narcissitic enough to post selfies all day to earn a sponsorship. Your parents weren't rich enough to support you while you ran trails in Colorado and worked at a outdoors shop. So you had to get a desk job.
Now you are seeing all the dopers make it. All the narcissists who spend an hour just to take the perfect selfie for instagram make it. All the rich kids are running trails in Colorado and California and wearing flatbills with their free Normatecs.
And you're bitter. So you have resorted to just talking about politics or accusing everyone else of doping. Well, you're right about the doping - everyone is doing it. It is a part of the equation. But you just might be happier working than desk job, than doping, taking selfies, or living off of your parents. So give yourself some credit and lay off the politics and bitter posts. You are doing better than you think. People might not follow you on instagram, but I respect you.
