Kansas is pretty obvious.
Kansas is pretty obvious.
Tennessee:
Male- Andrew Bumbalough 4:06 full mile (had record til 3 years ago, still sits #3), still holds 8:46 3200m record, FL South Record holder (McGorty and Hunter later broke it), FL Runner Up
Female- Kathy Kroeger wasn't much of a miler, maybe 4:5x, but still holds 10:26 3200m record (will probably be broken this year), 4xFL qualifier, FL Champ her SO beating Hasay the year after she won it her FR year
Nebraska:
Colby Wissel (could be Seth Hirsch by the end of next school year)
Emily Sisson (ran in Nebraska as a FR and SO)
WA - Lindgren
MO: Joe "fighting" Falcon
I'm gonna go with Ed Cheserek for NJ, although Marty Liquori gives him a run for his money I'm sure. I just don't know much about Liquori's high school performances other than his sub-4.
Darwin Bond and Thom Garrison from Tenn
Arkansas:
Brian Baker
Grace Heymsfield

Over Teg? Falcon has Teg on the track, but his XC times don't compare to Teg's.
Falcon - 1:52.45 (800 m), 4:06.6 (1600 m), 8:53.35 (3200 m), 15:57.5 (5k XC)
Tegenkamp - 4:11.43 (1600m), 8:57.23 (3200m), 15:26.7 (5k XC)
Bill Bowerman urinated on Phil Knight.

Oregon- Galen Rupp
If you are talking about their career in high school, I would go with Prefontaine or Billy McChesney over Galen.
The top Oregon girl gets more complicated:
Eryn Forbes
Leanne Warren
Kathy Hayes
Claudette Groenendaal
Ella Donaghu
Paige Rice
Taylor Wallace
If this is based on accomplishments then for NY Mary Cain for female and id throw down Mikey Brannigan for boys. he may not have been the absolute fastest , but he ran a 4:03 mile, has the state record in the 3200m, and held is own against some of the fiercest HS mid distance runners out there (Fisher, Hunter etc...) Not to mention hes had to overcome Autism to do it and holds a paraolympic 1500m record.
NH
Cathy O'Brien - won Kinney
