Pretty solid opener for the young pro. She looks even more confident than she did a year ago. It would have been nice to see a more evenly paced race or someone else challenging the 18 year old, maybe easier said than done. Looking forward to seeing her skills develop and how she fairs in the coming years.

Jessica Smith also faired very well, with a more even pace, surely would have been closer to 4:30. I think she looks to be, one to watch.

That's equal to a 9:23 for 3000m, so she's right on par with Mary Cain.

Nice to see Ulrey racing, I really hope he gets rolling again, he's got potential. Glad he moved on from NOP.

She may be but not based on those times. 4:34 is much better then 9:23 on all the tables I know of.

You're right, but don't even need tables for that one. No comparison between the two, not even close.

A very good opener for her, and hopefully an indication of a good/better season to come. If she's past last year's bumps in the road, she's a ridiculous talent who, with added experience, confidence, and maturity could eventually be as good as anyone.
