I've been running for 3 years, but for the past month and a half I I haven't done any distance running. However, I've been olympic weightlifting regularly. Even though I've still been exercising, has my VO2 max decreased significantly? Approximately how much training will it take for me to get back to my peak?
Also, is it possible that the weightlifting is going to reduce my endurance because I lost slow-twitch muscles and gained fast-twitch muscles?
